IT-M3400 bi-directional programmable DC power supply integrates the features of bi-directional power supply and feed-back load, and continues the high power density and modular architecture design of the M series, which can satisfy the different current and power testing needs of customers. The independent multi-channel design allows the user to configure each channel according to the number of test requirements and specifications of the object to be tested to meet customized needs. At the same time with high precision output and measurement, and for the test to do a number of safety design, suitable for power modules, intelligent industrial equipment, automotive electronics and a variety of small-capacity battery charging and discharging test and other test areas.

½ U Mini volume

IT-M3400 has ½U mini size, can provide 800W power output, not only has the high power density, but also has the high resolution, high accuracy and high stability and other characteristics. With an output voltage up to 600V and an output current up to 30A, there are 12 models in the series, and the wide range of output design allows one machine to cover a wide range of application needs.

 

Seamless power/load switching

Unlike traditional power supplies and loads that have short jumps and discontinuities when switching between positive and negative currents, the IT-M3400 combines the functional characteristics of a bi-directional power supply and a feed-back load into one device, which is capable of realizing high-speed switching between source and load current modes, thus enabling fast, continuous and seamless switching between the output and absorbed currents, effectively avoiding overshooting of the voltage or the current, which is widely used in testing of energy storage devices such as batteries, battery packages, and battery protection boards. It is widely used for battery, battery packages, and battery protection boards and other energy storage equipment testing.

CC&CV Prioritization Function

IT-M3400 continues ITECH's CC/CV priority concept, which helps users to solve a variety of severe problems in long-term testing, making the demanded power supply high speed or no overshoot application, more flexible. For test scenarios requiring high voltage speed, users can choose CV priority mode to obtain faster voltage creepage, or CC priority mode with no overshoot of output current, which is used to test the constant current operating characteristics of the object to be tested. It is suitable for a variety of test applications such as simulation and characterization of power transients in lasers, integrated circuits, charge/discharge, and automotive electronics.

High energy recovery efficiency

Modular architecture, any combination

The IT-M3400's modular plug-and-play architecture allows instruments to be stacked like building blocks without the need for additional accessories. The IT-E154 Rack Mount Kit is also available for users to easily mount one or more instruments in a standard 19-inch cabinet.

 

Multi-channel independent control, up to 256 channels

The IT-M3400 has a flexible multi-channel design architecture that allows the user to form a multi-channel source-loaded system with multiple IT-M3400s, with each instrument's interface displaying the channel number. By connecting the communication interface of one of the power supplies to the PC, each power supply in the system can be controlled independently in the upper computer software, and each channel can be operated completely independently.
IT-M3400 can reach up to 16*16 channels, 64 channels can be configured in one 37U cabinet, and through the parallel function, it can support a variety of different power to be tested, which not only makes the use of the user more flexible, but also greatly improves the utilization rate of the equipment.

The IT-M3400 supports the parallel connection of multiple units of the same model to create a system with greater current and power. Users can connect up to 16 instruments in parallel by adopting master-slave operation depending on different required current values.
The IT-M3400 is capable of high-speed measurements comparable to those of a single machine when multiple machines are operated in parallel.

Battery simulation function

The IT-M3400 can simulate up to 99 cells in series and parallel. Through the front panel of the power supply, users can set the voltage, capacity, internal resistance and SOC of the battery to quickly define the battery model. Through the optional ITECH professional BSS2000 battery simulation software, users can set the common parameters of the battery pack to quickly establish the battery characteristic curve, and also set the initial capacity of the battery, so as to verify the characteristics of the product in different states of the battery. At the same time, BSS2000 supports users to import the matlab battery model or the actual battery charge/discharge curves through the csv file, which can more realistically reproduce the battery charge/discharge characteristics.

 

Battery charging function

 

The IT-M3400 has a battery charging function that allows charging tests to be performed on batteries. The user can set the four test shutdown conditions of the battery by himself through the panel: shutdown voltage, shutdown current, shutdown capacity and charging time. When any one of the four conditions is met, the test will be automatically interrupted. During the test, the battery voltage, charging time and charged capacity can be observed.
