common problems 4170

PathWave BenchVue software for waveform generators provides full-featured waveform creation software. This software enables engineers to take full advantage of signal generation capabilities to create custom waveforms quickly and easily.

PathWave BenchVue software is a PC application that provides easy-to-use creation tools, such as a formula editor and waveform calculation and plotting tools, that you can use to create custom signals. Plug-and-play functionality allows you to connect the instrument to your computer and immediately begin controlling it with BenchVue software.

When you open BenchVue and connect to the Waveform Generator, you will be presented with the graphical instrument control window of the Waveform Generator. This GUI allows you to set up regular sine, square, ramp, pulse, triangle, noise, PRBS, and DC waveforms by selecting the appropriate parameters.

    486

There are two main types of spectrum analyzers: sweep tuning analyzers and real-time analyzers. Modern spectrum analyzers use digital signal processing to provide more measurement capabilities, making it easier for you to interpret your measurements. Whether it's a swept-tuning analyzer or a real-time spectrum analyzer, they both display the change in amplitude with frequency. However, exactly how each analyzer handles...

Its advantages include: Ultra-low jitterTrueform function/arbitrary waveform generators have jitter as low as 1 ps and excellent edge stability. You can even use them as system clocks for timing and triggering other instruments. Thanks to better jitter performance, you can locate edges more accurately, which helps reduce timing errors in circuit design. Ultra-low...

  • What is a function/waveform generator?

    451

A function generator is an electronic test device that generates a variety of standard waveforms for a device under test (DUT), such as sine, square, ramp, or sawtooth waveforms. In circuit design and circuit boards, testing often requires the use of controlled signals to simulate routine operations. Testing physical systems and sensors often requires stable and reliable signals that are as low as a few microvolts and may be as high as...
