What are network analyzers used for?

common problems 5980

Network analyzers perform component characterization tests. Network analyzers provide a calibrated excitation signal to the RF network or device under test (DUT) and measure the vector response at frequency with phase and amplitude information. Transmission (transmission coefficient, insertion loss, gain), reflection (reflection coefficient, VSWR, return loss), and impedance measurements, as well as the s-parameters S11, S12, S21, and S22, are available from a single VNA.

  • What are the main types of spectrum analyzers?

    719

There are two main types of spectrum analyzers: sweep tuning analyzers and real-time analyzers. Modern spectrum analyzers use digital signal processing to provide more measurement capabilities, making it easier for you to interpret your measurements. Whether it's a swept-tuning analyzer or a real-time spectrum analyzer, they both display the change in amplitude with frequency. However, exactly how each analyzer handles...
