How does a vector network analyzer work?

common problems 4680

A network analyzer consists of a signal source and a receiver. The receiver will detect changes in the output signal of the device (or network) and then compare it to the source signal fed into the device. To evaluate the effect of the device on current and voltage, the VNA measures the resulting amplitude and phase response. This results in transmission and reflection measurements, impedance, and s-parameters from which test engineers can characterize their device under test.

What is resistance in electricity? This article will cover the basics of resistance, how to calculate resistance, and resistors. Many people have heard the word "resistance" when they were students, but may still not understand it. However, because they don't understand it, they are hesitant to ask people about it now. Simply put, resistance is a force that flows in the opposite direction of the current. Resistance...

How do I measure voltage? If you use a multimeter, anyone can measure it easily ■ Summary Since voltage is not visible to the naked eye, it is not possible to confirm "how much voltage is flowing through a circuit at a glance". However, the circuits of electronic devices have a set voltage for normal operation, and if the voltage is too high, it may lead to product malfunction or personal injury. In addition, ...

  • What is the importance of waveform sequencing?

    430

Waveform sequencing lets you create multiple configured waveforms that contain multiple common segments. Sorting lets you build complex, long waveforms using as little instrument memory as possible. Waveform sequencing lets you save storage capacity by replaying shorter waveforms at different locations on the signal as needed. Many tests require long waveform memory records. The required record length...
