Traditional semiconductor I-V characterization solutions are often complex and costly, requiring multiple instruments to complete the test, such as voltage/current sources, pulse generators, and high-precision voltage/current meters. Not only does this take up limited test bench space, but engineers need to program multiple devices to control and synchronize them in order to ensure the accuracy of the test results.
The IT2800 Series SMU provides engineers with a cost-effective and efficient solution. It combines the functionality of six devices with different output and measurement capabilities into a compact 1/2 2U size to accurately output voltage or current and measure voltage and/or current simultaneously. It combines the functions of a four-quadrant voltage source, a current source, a 61/2 digital multimeter, a pulse generator, a battery simulator, and an electronic load.

Intuitive graphical display for quick access to product features

The front panel of the IT2800 Series SMU has many features to enhance speed, user-friendliness and ease of interactive use. These features include a 5-inch color LCD touchscreen display, USB 2.0 memory I/O port, a rotary navigation button, trigger button, function buttons, and mainstream banana sockets. the USB 2.0 memory port supports easy data storage, test profile import, and system upgrades. the IT2800 offers both graphical and digital measurement result display modes, intuitive Graph view, Scope view, and Record view views. Standard and list scanning functions

The IT2800 series SMUs are equipped with standard and list LIST scanning functions. The standard SWEEP mode supports linear and logarithmic modes, single and double scan functions, and constant and pulse scan functions. The List LIST scan function effectively performs arbitrary waveform outputs, useful in tests that characterize the response as it varies with the applied voltage or current. Users can use Excel import or panel editing to generate an arbitrarily shaped scan curve with up to 999,999 points of data, ideal for U-I and I-U characterization tests.

Battery Simulator Features

Thanks to the four-quadrant operating characteristics of the source meter, the IT2800 series can not only be used as a voltage source, current source, and 6½-digit digital multimeter, but also has a built-in professional battery simulator function to help engineers better study the impact of battery characteristics on the power consumption and performance reliability of the DUT. You can quickly generate battery curves through customized (SOC-VOC-R) or conventional parameter setting modes, and you can arbitrarily specify the initial SoC state of the battery without waiting for charging or discharging like using a real battery, which greatly improves the efficiency of R&D and production testing.
