Verify the output waveform after connecting the DUT
InstaView™ technology on an arbitrary wave function generator allows you to view real-time waveforms directly after connecting the DUT, eliminating the need for oscilloscopes or other equipment, saving test time and avoiding experimental errors due to impedance mismatches.
Double pulse test in less than a minute
The AFG31000 is a function generator that includes built-in dual-pulse test software. Now you can generate two waveforms with variable pulse widths from 20 ns to 150 µs in less than a minute, directly on the touchscreen display. No need for external PC applications or manual editing.
Measure switching device parameters and evaluate the dynamic performance of power devices such as MOSFETs and IGBTs.
High fidelity signals with advanced modes
When unpacked, it generates accurate long waveforms of up to 16 M points per channel in continuous mode. Variable acquisition clock technology ensures that you never lose any waveform data again. With upgradable features, you can further enhance your tests and create and edit complex waveforms at one-tenth the cost of traditional AWGs.
Product optional feature upgrades that you can:
- Expand memory to 128 M points per channel (option MEM)
- Sequence/trigger/selector modes (option SEQ) for up to 25 inputs and controls for: loop, wait, skip, go to, external trigger inputs, manual trigger, timed trigger, and SCPI commands to create long, complex waveforms with flexible timing.
Editing a simple waveform sequence can be done in just 3 steps. Watch how to edit.
Simplified Arbitrary Waveform Creation
The built-in ARB editing tool, ArbBuilder, includes all operations for creating, editing, and transferring arbitrary waveforms without the need to connect to or transfer files to a PC. Amplitude and bias data are stored in the waveform, so there is no need to adjust settings after loading a standardized ARB.
Watch how easy it is to create any waveform with ArbBuilder™.
Intelligent User Interface
Learn and work faster with the oversized AFG touchscreen. The 9-inch screen works like a smart device, so you can zoom and scroll with your finger to easily find settings and parameters and find shortcuts to frequently used settings.
Need more than two lanes?
If you need more than just two waveform channels to simulate a device under test (DUT), the Multi-Sync setup is used to quickly synchronize two or more devices. On-screen wizard information guides you through the cable connection and setup process in less than three minutes.
