Measure two parameters at once
The 8808A provides an excellent dual-test display function, allowing two different parameters of the same signal to be measured through a single test connection, such as measuring an AC voltage and displaying both the voltage value and the frequency at the same time. Two related parameters, such as voltage and current, can also be observed at the same time, which can reveal problems that are usually easy to ignore or implied, greatly simplifying the testing and troubleshooting process and improving efficiency.
Measurement of sensitive leakage currents
When conventional digital multi-meters measure small currents below 100 mA, the load effect of the meter itself loads the circuit under test. This makes measuring leakage current in battery-powered devices with the power off very difficult, and sometimes impossible.The Fluke 8808A is an instrument that utilizes a low-impedance I-V conversion technique for microcurrent measurements. In this special mode, the 8808A is able to measure small currents with a resolution of 1nA and without loading the circuit under test.
Performs 4-wire measurements using only two test leads
Fluke's 2x4 four-wire resistance feature utilizes a split jack that allows four-wire resistance measurements to be made using only two, rather than four, measurement wires. Surface-mounted components, which are widely used today, make it difficult to make connections for measurements. When making small precision resistance measurements with four wires, connections become very difficult. Fluke's 2x4 wire option connects four wires into two test pairs, making connections easy. Users enjoy the convenience and flexibility of four-wire measurements using only one pair of test wires while obtaining high resolution and uncertainty.

FlukeViewForms software enhances digital meters by recording, storing and analyzing individual readings or a series of measurements and then converting these into professionally formatted documents. Test data can also be transferred to a PC via the communications interface and readings can be displayed in tabular or graphical form using standard templates.
