How do I calibrate my spectrum analyzer?

common problems 5030

You can use the Keysight U9361 RCal Receiver Calibrator to perform an accurate and reliable calibration of your spectrum analyzer/signal analyzer by following these steps:

  1. Connect the RCal to the signal analyzer through the high power USB port.
  2. Connect the 10 MHz reference signal from the signal analyzer to the "Reference In" port of the U9361 Rcal.
  3. Sets the RCal option reference status to EXT (external).
  4. Connect the RF Output of the Rcal to the RF Input of the Signal Analyzer.
  5. The YesTech Signal Analyzer is pre-configured for this interface. The calibration type, frequency range, attenuation range, and number of points are displayed on the screen.
  6. When you make the actual measurement, connect the "RF output" of the Rcal to the path point where the device under test (DUT) is located.
  7. Click "Calibration Line" to initialize the receiver calibrator and signal analyzer and generate calibration data.
  8. Disconnect the RCal and reconnect the signal path. Operation will transfer to the measurement plane. X-Series signal analyzers can dynamically track your measurements and make status corrections as needed.

    546

To connect two DC power supplies in series, connect the positive terminal of the first power supply to the negative terminal of the second power supply to form a "daisy-chain" connection, where the series voltage is the sum of the voltages of the two power supplies. To connect two DC power supplies in series, proceed as follows: Note that the voltage of the load should be equal to or higher than the sum of the voltages of the two power supplies to prevent damage to the load or power supply. In addition, the load's rated...

  • How to read the measurement results of a digital multimeter?

    533

Most handheld or benchtop digital multimeters display measurements digitally. The number of digits displayed on the screen usually represents the measurement resolution of the digital multimeter. Resolution is the smallest detail that a digital multimeter can quantitatively determine when making a measurement. Therefore, the more digits a digital multimeter displays, the higher its resolution. Handheld digital multimeters are typically capable of displaying three-and-a-half and four...
